Hi Everyone!

“Lost wages”

“Sorry?”

“Lost wages, it’s what us folk call Las Vegas”

“Haha thanks Mr Customs Man”

And then as I left he said good luck! Haha needed and thank you! The reason I was speaking to this nice man in the first place? Because of the many dried noodles in my suitcase....

I’m at LAX at the moment, it’s Friday lunch time (I really should figure out the real time cos I might miss a flight soon) in Perth it’s 2.15am Saturday! I really don’t think days are meant to go this long! I mean, I was excited about all the flying (which I’ve always loved) at the start but right now I just wanna get to Vegas, check in to my hotel, have a shower and sleep until Lynne and Kathy arrive! Enough with the whinging,
how was the flight?

Well, Perth to Sydney I actually slept a little! Then I hung out in the terminal until I could check in, then I got rid of my suitcase and went to Circular Quay! Saw the bridge and the opera house, pretty cool I guess haha big and stuff and it made me go wow the first couple of times I looked at them. Commanding. That’s the word I’m gonna use to describe them. They’re not crazy pretty or really really big or anything special like that, they just command your attention and your breath for a minute or two.

Going through customs in Sydney, the customs lady had the same birthday as me!!!! Disturbia just came on the radio DISTURBIAAA sorry Jamie. Continuing on, she said, “Are you a little bit crazy as well?” I couldn’t possibly deduce what she was talking about...

Then when we were taxiing off down the runway, we did the turn around and you could tell this was the take off run and then we just went around in a circle again and then back to the terminal! The captain let us know that someone’s random luggage had accidently been put on our plane so the ground crew had to find it and get it out before we could leave! An hour later (I was soooo hungry!) we left Sydney! I didn’t eat all of lunch but it was lamb, rice and mixed vegetables, greek salad, jatz crackers and cheese, chocolate, carrot cake and a broll (bread roll)! So much food! Anyway, I wined it up with what was actually a really tasty drop and tried to catch some zzz’s. Fun fact – we were flying at 888kph. Like, I can’t even comprehend how fast that is. And I was on the plane. No comprende amigos.

Quick whinge to finish off – I knew from what people had said, that American airports were hardcore but I thought I was already doing it tough having to take out my deodarent and laptop everytime I went through security. Shoeless, cardiganless, scarfless and probably diginity-less I was as I went through the American security. Thank goodness the guy behind me was Irish so we could ask eachother, “seriously?” as we took our shoes off.

Love you all, next post is Vegas! How exciting!
